There are prison gangs of ALL races and the Whites are the smallest group in prison vs hispanics and blacks. Whites are targeted by hispanics and blacks in prison and are actually the largest victims of racism in prison which makes it hard to survive on your own, hence the reason from prison gangs. Prison is the place where you see what society would look like at its worst. I guess it wouldn't fit the narrative, which fuels the racism inside prison, to talk about the Latin Kings, Tango Blast, bloods, crips, etc. These other gangs are MUCH larger, involved in similar crime, and are MUCH, MUCH more common outside prison.

the only real "Mafia" in the south was Carlos Marcella and his small family but that's been over. Most of this is just small-time organized crime, not the actual mafia. Makes for good headlines and a click though.

My aunt and cousins lived in Cabrini in the 80s. Mom and I visited them on many occasions before they moved to California. The younger kids ages 6 to 14 from there were so mature and hardened for their age and most of them was focused on hustling and making money just to get snacks and something to eat. Things I for sure took for granted. The first Bucket Boys out of Chicago that used to play downtown were from Cabrini. Children grew up fast in Cabrini.
